The metadata file

The platform supports metadata files in different formats. In all cases you must ensure that your metadata file respects the selected format. Any difference in format could result in an error on the platform, or data could be ignored or overwritten. 

File formats

The following metadata file formats are supported: 

• ONIX 2.1

• ONIX 3.0

• Excel (XLS, XLSX)

The size of the files to be imported must not exceed 150 MB.

ONIX 3.0 format (recommanded)

If you already have your metadata in ONIX format, note that although the platform still supports ONIX 2.1, version 3.0 is strongly recommended.

Excel format

To use an Excel file in Excel format created with applications such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice or LibreOffice, or a file obtained by exporting from the platform, follow the instructions in the following article.
